Troop 7545

Thank you for your interest in Girl Scout Troop 7545!

The Bronze Award

We are working on earning our Bronze Award, the highest award a Girl Scout Junior can achieve. Each girl is devoting twenty hours to making a positive impact in her community.

We have chosen to support the Jared Box Project: making “cheer boxes” for kids in local hospitals who are undergoing major medical treatments like surgery and chemotherapy.

Each scout is making Jared Boxes based on books and themes they love—filling them with toys, art supplies, books and lots of special, handmade items.

We are learning that we have the power to make a difference!

And we are reaching out to our community to help us reach our goal of making fifty (50) boxes!

We have written letters asking for support from local businesses. Our troop has made a collaborative coloring & activity book. And we are planning a fun, workshop event at our local library.

How can you help?

  1. Donate here!
  2. Donate small toys & games that would fit in a shoebox, and art supplies like Play-Doh, stickers, gel pens, markers, and bright, colorful Post-It pads!
  3. Visit and make your own box with your family! Choose a book or theme you are passionate about (sports, art, animals, your favorite books as a child) and have fun creating a family box together!
  4. Attend our workshop event at the Manhattan Beach Library on March 17, 2016 (3:00pm-5:00pm). Bring your donations, your Jared Boxes, or just come to support our troop!
  5. Check the Pennekamp Newsletter for additional drop-off donation dates and locations!
