We are working on earning our Bronze Award, the highest award a Girl Scout
Junior can achieve. Each girl is devoting twenty hours to
making a positive impact in her community.
We have chosen to support the Jared Box Project:
making “cheer boxes” for kids in local hospitals who are undergoing
major medical treatments like surgery and chemotherapy.
Each scout is making Jared Boxes based on books and themes they love—filling them with toys, art supplies, books and lots of special, handmade items.
We are learning that we have the power to make a difference!
And we are reaching out to our community to help us
reach our goal of making fifty (50) boxes!
We have written letters asking for support from local businesses.
Our troop has made a collaborative coloring & activity book.
And we are planning a fun, workshop event at our local library.
